Shelter dogs
The nature of every living being is to fervently stay alive. They just want life's opportunities.

How many lifeless bodies of dogs and cats that have been gassed or injected with poison must be tossed in rancid dumpsters behind shelters before Americans accept the challenge and end these draconian practices?

How many of our best friends must be shot, stabbed, burned, hanged, and suffer other hideous torture before those of who care join together to change the status quo?

K9Nation offers the absolute best hope for the animals that suffer through nationwide unity at the local and national levels. Regrettably, it’s not within my reach, nor within your reach, but fortunately, it’s within our reach! Please become a Citizen.

Thank you.

For decades profiteers and perpetrators of cruelty have succeeded to block legislation, take their nefarious operations undercover, escape prosecution, get off with minimal punishment, and literally get away with murder.  While laughing in our faces, they continue to get away with unspeakable crimes, circumventing regulations, and avoiding widespread public visibility.

We well-intended champions of anti-cruelty have written letters to government officials, we’ve supported laws, we’ve donated hundreds of millions of dollars to organizations opposing cruelty, we’ve signed petitions, we’ve built Web sites and blogs, and we’ve picketed and held public demonstrations.

We’ve done so much!…only to sink deeper into a quagmire of an uninformed public that silently condones the heartbreaking horror that takes place every day everywhere around us. The sad plight of our pets just keeps going on and on.

Those of us who do know what is happening feel helpless.  Some work hard at rescuing homeless dogs and cats.  Some contribute money to help suffering pets.  Still, as much as we do, and as strong as our outrage may be, a sense of helplessness so often overwhelms us.

  • For every homeless dog or cat that gets adopted, dozens more show up at shelter doors.
  • For every reported abuse of an innocent animal, countless more go unreported.
  • For every effort made to strengthen cruelty laws, special interests and profiteers of cruelty multiply their efforts to fight back.
  • For every criminal perpetrator of cruelty held accountable, hundreds are not (if even prosecuted).

A compassionate yet oblivious public continues to tacitly support abuse simply by being uninformed.

K9Nation finally offers a workable solution and a call to all concerned to channel their resources into a network of local action groups with the power of a national coalition.  If we don’t accept the challenge, what’s the alternative?  More of the same? Over and over?  Again and again?

It’ll take more than a village.  It will take a nation.

Bringing pet overpopulation under control is within our reach. With such huge challenges, it’s not within the reach of one individual, nor even one group of individuals in one city. But, it is within the reach of large numbers of individuals in large numbers of cities, all across America.
