Perhaps the greatest difference between K9Nation and conventional animal welfare nonprofits is that K9Nation’s members—Citizens—play important roles in actualizing our mission at both the national and local levels. Therefore, our most important work depends upon concerned individuals coming together as volunteers, working with one another as a united force. You might say that K9Nation’s “armed forces” is the army of volunteers who are “armed” with enthusiasm to accomplish great things; together we are a Patriot Corps.

K9Nation was founded knowing full well that success would depend not on the amount of money we spend, but the amount of Citizen effort we receive. That effort doesn’t have to be a burden to our Citizens if we can get a little help from a lot of people. You can volunteer for just a few hours, or you can take the lead as a volunteer administrator playing an important role in your Kommunity or in the national effort. Whatever you feel you can do will be appreciated by all of us—your friends and neighbors across this land who know magnificent things can be accomplished when we all care enough to help out with something bigger than our individual selves.

1. Participate On An Organizational Team

Choose from a number of teams (committees) creating foundation and infrastructure. Here's your chance to give your input--your ideas, thoughts, and vision for an effective K9Nation. Pitch in and speak out with K9Nation's Leadership Initiative.

2. Serve On K9N's Board of Advisors

Represent your area as a member of K9Nation's Board of Advisors. Give your opinions to the president and board of directors. As an advisor, you may also represent K9Nation in creating awareness and encourating the establishment of Kommunities in your district. Pitch in and speak out with K9Nation's Leadership Initiative.

3. Serve As A K9Nation Ambassador

Citizen Ambassadors are the lifeblood of K9Nation as they continuously interact with the public and impacting the public consciousness. Ambassadors are agents of the awareness and the spay-and-neuter campaigns working together in a variety of ways to build Citizen numbers and public support. With online training and resources, Ambassadors become knowledgeable of K9Nation and its informational resources in order to effectively introduce K9N, answer questions, and help create an informed public.Learn more about the Ambassador Corps and participation.

4. Contribute Your Time, Skills, Services, Etc.

Individuals, Businesses, and Professionals

Become a virtual volunteer from your computer at home, office, or place of business.

K9Nation’s national effort requires various skills, services, and individuals willing just to give some time.  This can be done virtually.

Virtual volunteering means volunteer tasks completed, in whole or in part, via the Internet and a home or work computer.

A list of upcoming needed services can be found in the left column. If you have other services or ideas, please indicate this on the volunteer registration form.

If you have skills or services you would be willing to contribute, please let us know you are available by registering with K9Nation’s Patriot Corps.
