Selected Responsibilities of Administrative Division
Citizen Management
The division monitors citizenship by maintaining an accurate and up-to-date database of K9Nation citizenship numbers, renewals, donations, and volunteer activity.
Communications & Information (C&I)
The division oversees public and internal communications including Web sites and other Internet presence, newsletters, and the Intranet.The Public Relations’ Media Office receives, prepares, and distributes general news, press releases, features, activities, and other current information related to K9Nation’s work. Effective intra-organizational communication is especially vital between Citizen Central and Kommunities, between Kommunities, and between Citizens. Indeed, today’s communication technology makes K9Nation’s mass collaboration business model possible.
Community Events The division develops and coordinates K9N non-fundraising events through the Kommunities (fundraising events are sponsored by the Support Division), the purposes of which are:
to showcase pets and their contributions to human lives;
to offer opportunities for dog owners to meet one another, and to socialize their pets;
to create K9N and spay/neuter awareness;
to provide learning opportunities for pet owners in such fields as training, responsible care, and legislation.
